Scholarship Surprise!

The folks at The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region recently contacted us when one of their donors expressed interest in granting scholarships to our students who plan to pursue studies in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

We worked with our Academic Coordinators to identify students who met their criteria and were thrilled to help the Community Foundation grant three $1,000 scholarships to the following students: Daniella Bertrand of Albany High School; Lorena Flores of Schenectady High School; and, Sabrina Wolfe of Troy High School.

Daniella Bertrand will be studying Education at Buffalo State University. She plans to become a math teacher.
