We are pleased to announce that Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar has received more than $75,000 in grants over the summer from The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation, Howard and Bush Foundation and other sources that will provide key funds for our Pathways to College programs.
We thank our longtime partners at the Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation for their multi-year investment in our mentoring program, which will help us to provide our mentors with quality ongoing training and will ensure that our Scholars have the consistent support they need to follow their dreams.
We are grateful to the Community Foundation for three recent grants. We received a grant from the Sylvester Labanowski Fund for our new alumni ambassadors initiative, launching later this fall and we received new funding from the Bender Scientific Fund at the Community Foundation which will provide graphing calculators for all of our incoming Scholars. We also received donations from the BFF Fund and the Foy Foundation, which will support our Pathways to College initiative.
We also thank the Howard and Bush Foundation for making a long-term commitment to our Troy-based Scholars.
