Forty-Six Thousand Thanks!

On June 6th, we were thrilled to host more than 250 guests at our 2018 Scholar Celebration. We honored our longtime partners, the New York Business Development Corporation and the Northeast Chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs.

And we celebrated the Class of 2018!

It was wonderful to welcome Scholars, mentors and friends to celebrate with us.

Our Scholars were joined by their families and their mentors.

Our mistress of ceremonies was Tamani Wooley of Spectrum News, and she was a fabulous host for the evening.

Our guests heard from Albany City School District Superintendent Kaweeda Adams, who delivered an engaging keynote address.

Then the main event: the Class of 2018 shared their plans for the future. What an inspiring group!

After the Scholars had their turn, we heard from Troy High School alumnus and RPI graduate Jay Yaskanich, who gave a powerful speech on the importance of failure and support systems.

What a wonderful evening! We're thrilled to share that the event raised over $46,000 in support of our college access and success programs. We are deeply grateful to the many underwriters and donors that made it possible, especially the lead underwriters of the event, Brown Weinraub.
